Thuyloi University welcomed and worked with the the Delegation of Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Vietnam
On the afternoon of June 5, Thuyloi University was honored to welcome and have a working session with Education Counselor Zheng Dawei and First Secretary Wang Tingguan of the Embassy of the PRC in Vietnam.
Attending the reception were Prof. Dr. Trinh Minh Thu - President of Thuyloi University, Dr. Le Quang Tuan - Deputy Head of Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, Dr. Tran Thi Kim Loan, Vice Dean of School of International Education and representatives of the Department of General Administration, Academic Affairs, Political and Student Affairs and Faculties of Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Economics and Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Chemistry-Environmental Engineering as well as lecturers who have studied in China.
In the opening of the meeting, Prof.Dr. Trinh Minh Thu sent his thanks to the Education Counselor and the First Secretary for taking the time to visit and discuss cooperation with Thuyloi University. The President of TLU gave a short introduction about the university's development history with significant help from Wuhan University in the early days of its establishment. Up to now, TLU has also promoted many effective cooperation in training and scientific research with many large and prestigious universities and research institutes in China such as Wuhan University, Hohai University, and the Institute of Research and Development, Changjiang River Scientific Research Institute (CRSRI), etc. In recent years, in addition to training human resources for Vietnam, TLU also has the desire to train human resources for countries in the region and around the world through the expansion of cooperation programs, such as joint training programs and 2+2 programs with universities around the world, in which we hope to promote cooperation with universities in China.
On the Embassy's side, Counselor Zheng Dawei also expressed his joy at working with Thuyloi University and was very impressed with the cooperative activities and achievements of working with Chinese partners of the university. He also expressed his desire to cooperate with Vietnam, especially Thuyloi University in the fields of scientific research, education and training,... With the goal of building training industries and Top universities through plans to build systems and improve training quality to serve the socio-economic, scientific and technological needs of the two countries. In addition, he also noted the opportunity for training cooperation through joint programs such as 2+2, 3+1 or summer camp activities, thereby opening up opportunities to implement cooperation for other programs such as Master's, Doctoral training programs.
At the end of the meeting, on behalf of Thuyloi University, Prof. Dr. Trinh Minh Thu sent his thanks to the sharing of the Chinese Embassy Delegation. The two sides once again affirmed their desire to connect extensively to promote cooperation and research between the two countries, aiming for common development in science, technology and innovation.
