Thuyloi University organized a business trip from 24 May to 30 May in Korea under the Vietnam - Korea Protocol "Study on sediment flow to reservoirs taking into account the factors affected by climate change - Applying to a reservoir in Vietnam”.
This is a joint research project between Vietnam and Korea carried out by the Thuyloi University, Vietnam and Chung Nam National University, Korea.
The objective of the project is to study the method of calculating the sediment flow to the reservoir taking into account the factors affected by climate change and propose some solutions to reduce sedimentation and increase the lifestime of the reservoir.
The TLU's delegation included Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thu Hien - Head of the delegation, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ho Viet Hung – Head of Hydraulics Department along with some lecturers of the Faculty of Water Resources Engineering.
The delegation attended the Annual Scientific Conference of the Korea Water Resources Association (KWRA) held in Goseong, Gangwon-do, Korea from May 25 to 26, 2023. At the conference, members of the Vietnamese research team presented 5 scientific reports.

At the end of the confernce, the delegation continued to work with Chung Nam National University from May 27-29, 2023 to complete a training course on CSEM flow and sediment calculation software. The two sides also discussed details and evaluated the results of the cooperation project and future research directions.
