President of Thuyloi University visited and worked with the partners in Singapore

TLU - Within the framework of the OKP project (funded by the Netherlands and managed by NUFFIC), a delegation from Thuyloi University was led by Prof. Trinh Minh Thu – President visited and worked with partners in Singapore during August 2-4, 2022.

There were representatives of the Education Testing & Quality Assurance Department and International Cooperation Department in the delegation from TLU.

With the aim of being ranked in the QS Asia University Rankings 2023, TLU is urgently preparing all the necessary data such as a list of partners, figure on the academic staff, staff, students. etc. In the meeting with QS Asia Office, the delegation exchanged and discussed to clarify the criteria, regulations on the Rankings, and requirements for higher education institutions in general and especially for TLU. At the same time, a number of cooperation directions in quality assurance and university governance were also discussed and the two sides will promote together in the coming time.

In addition, the delegation had a meeting with professors of Nanyang Technological University (NTU) to restore collaborations interrupted by the COVID pandemic. During the working session, Prof. Chu Jian - Chairman of the School of Civil Engineering and Environment (CEE) emphasized his desire to continue collaborating with TLU in doctoral training, giving lectures in some subjects in international programs and organizing joint seminars. Although Singapore and Vietnam have many differences in terms of water resources and socio-economics, the partnership over the years are still respected by both sides and committed to continue long-term development.
