Delegation from National Formosa University visits Thuyloi University to discuss cooperation
On the morning of March 3, a delegation from Formosa National University (Taiwan) visited and discussed training programs, scholarships and potential areas of cooperation with Thuyloi University.
The delegation from Formosa National University included Dr. Chen Li-Wei, Vice President for International Affairs, Professor of Department of Mechanical and Computer Aided Engineering; and Ms. Wendy Hsiao – Coordinator of OIA.

The meeting was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Canh Thai - Vice President of Thuyloi University with the participation of representatives from the Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, the Department of Academic Affairs and representatives from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, Faculty of Chemistry and Environment, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Economics and Management, Faculty of Accounting and Business and School of International Education.

At the beginning of the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Sy Tam - Head of the Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation sent greetings to the delegation of Formosa National University and presented the main objectives of the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Canh Thai thanked the Delegation for taking the time to visit and work with the University and expressed his joy that after the signing of the MOU, the two sides had the opportunity to discuss and find opportunities for cooperation in training such as joint programs, scholarships and scientific research. In addition, the Vice President also introduced to the Delegation the scale of the University, multidisciplinary training programs as well as strengths in scientific research and hoped that this would be a premise for the two sides to cooperate more deeply in the future.

On the side of Formosa University, Dr. Chen Li-Wei also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to come and discuss with the University of Water Resources and present potential practical cooperation directions. He also gave a detailed introduction to the University, especially the outstanding training fields. In addition, Dr. Chen Li-Wei also introduced information about the Master's scholarship training program as well as the one-semester internship program. In addition, he also expressed his desire to expand cooperation to scientific research fields or joint research projects.
Discussing at the meeting, the leaders from the Faculties also exchanged opinions on the direction of cooperation between the two universities, especially in the field of training. The University of Water Resources also proposed to open more training cooperation programs such as student exchanges or 2+2 programs, and open seminars to discuss with students about study opportunities at Formosa National University as well as job opportunities.

At the end of the meeting, representatives of the two schools expressed their respect and trust in the cooperative relationship between Formosa National University and Thuyloi University. The two sides agreed to continue to discuss and specify cooperation programs in the coming time, especially in the fields of training, scientific research and student exchange.

The meeting not only marked an important step forward in the cooperative relationship between the two schools but also opened up many new opportunities for lecturers and students to access the international academic environment. With the foundation that has been built, the two sides hope to jointly develop effective and sustainable cooperation programs in the future.
