Loa Thanh Awards was introduced by Vietnam Federation Civil Engineering Association in 1988 with the aim to honor the excellent graduation projects by students from technical and architectural universities in Vietnam.
Over the past 30 years, the number of projects sent for competition has increased remarkably. From only 10 projects in total for all of the categories in the first year, currently about 100 projects compete for the awards in architecture and about 50 for civil and industrial engineering.
As an active participant since the first year, Thuyloi University is one of the four universities with the most competing projects and the most awards, along with National University of Civil Engineering, Hanoi University of Architecture and Ho Chi Minh University of Architecture.
Thuyloi University has won 152 prizes in Loa Thanh Awards with a stable increase in both quality and quantity year after year. These achievements manifest TLU’s consistent focus on education and research and will continue to be a motivation for the faculties and students in the coming years.
