The UPraise CO., LTD, Japan visited and had meeting with Thuyloi University

In accordance with the orientation of integration and globalization in education and training, Thuyloi University welcomed and had meeting with representatives of the UPraise Company, Japan led by Mr. Nguyen Quang Tung - Director of UPraise Vietnam in Hanoi.

Attending the meeting on 19th August 2020, from Thuyloi University (TLU) were Prof. Trinh Minh Thu – President and the leadership of relevant departments and faculties.

The UPraise Company was established in 2014 in Tokyo, with the original goal of becoming a bridge connecting international students and the Japanese labour market. Until 2019, a new branch of the Company was opened in Vietnam. The main activities of the Company are Japanese language training; scholarship counseling for abroad study; working in Japan as an engineer; internship in Japan ... In addition, the Company committed that free support, advice and training to students would be provided; while the cost of official job placement at companies in Japan, the cost of completing procedures, and visa issuance will be waived as well.

It can be realised that this is a good opportunity for TLU students, bringing realistic benefit in the field of training, and creating stable occupations for students as well as developing high-quality human resources for Vietnam and Japan, Prof. Trinh Minh Thu completely approved on the cooperation between the two sides in the coming period.

At the first phase, the two sides discussed to enroll of candidates from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Electrical-Electronics Engineering for internship at Japanese companies from 6 months - 1 year. Students will be taught Japanese language and culture for 6 months before taking an internship there. The Company commits: "The job that student will do for internship, will be suitable for the student's expertise with working regimes and salaries like native people".

It can be said that the cooperation with UPraise Company is also consistent with the TLU’s goals and orientation of sustainable and positive development. After the meeting, the two sides agreed to implement the next steps in the cooperation process on the basis of voluntariness, equality, and mutual benefit.
