Industry join hands with TLU to support students

On the afternoon 29 September 2020, Prof. Dr. Trịnh Minh Thụ, President of Thuyloi University had a meeting with representatives of Hino Motors Vietnam Co., Ltd, WorkStaff Vietnam Co., Ltd and VJC Group Co., Ltd.

Attending the meeting, on the side of companies, there were Ms. Nguyễn Thị Linh Giang - Senior Manager of Marketing and Brand Development Department of Hino Motors Vietnam Co., Ltd; Mr. Nguyễn Tiến Thành - Deputy Director of VJC Group Co., Ltd; Mr. Tsuyoshi Yamabe - General Director of WorkStaff Vietnam Co., Ltd.

At the meeting, the president introduced the main features of Thuyloi University. He hopes that the cooperation between the university and enterprises will create job opportunities for graduates, helping them quickly integrate into the labor market in the best way.

He also expressed his delight to be working with Hino Motors, a Japanese manufacturer of commercial vehicles and diesel engines (including trucks, buses and other vehicles) based in Tokyo. In Vietnam, Japan Hino Motors Corporation entered into a joint venture with Vietnam Motors Industry Corporation, and Japan Sumitomo Corporation to establish Hino Motors Vietnam Co., Ltd in June 1996.

The president affirmed that, for many years,the university has invested in human resources and facilities for training for the programs of Engineering, Electrical - Electronic, especially Automotive Engineering. The cooperation between the university and the 3 enterprises will be a good opportunity to enhance the position of each side and contribute to the common development.

Mr. Tsuyoshi Yamabe - General Director of WorkStaff Vietnam Co., Ltd. said that Work Staff is a large company, providing manpower in Japan for large companies such as Toyota, Honda , Daihatsu, Hino, Panasonic,etc. The company and the university have cooperated to promote each other's strengths, develop more in the fields of education, training and recruitment, bring opportunities for studying and learning in Japan which is the 3rd largest economy in the world. In coming time, WorkStaff Vietnam and Hino Motor Vietnam will give truck engines to the university.

VJC Group Co. Ltd is a leading company in the field of introducing human resources for domestic and abroad companies, providing programs such as Engineer Program, Special Skills Program; the Internship Program. VJC Group signed a contract with TLU in October 2019 to send students to work in Japan. Mr. Nguyễn Tiến Thành, Deputy Director of VJC Group Co., Ltd hopes to have more connections with TLU to improve the quality of training of the related programs.

After the meeting, representatives of the 3 companies visited the Automotive Engineering Laboratory and Automotive Engineering Training Practice Workshop of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
